Console Groups

RollBack Rx RMC console allows you to organize client workstations in groups for easy client management. There are two type of groups:

  • Custom Group, groups created by RMC administrators.

  • System Group, default groups provided by Rollback Rx RMC.

System groups

RollBack Rx RMC provides the following default system groups:

  • All clients
  • Windows 9x clients
  • Windows NT/XP clients
  • Low space clients
  • Registered clients
  • Unregistered clients

New clients connected to Rollback Rx RMC will automatically register itself in system groups according to its qualifications.

Create new custom groups

To create a new custom group, click on Console->Groups. Click on New to create a group.

 

Add  or remove client workstations to/from custom groups

To add/remove client workstations to/from custom groups:
  • Click on Console->Groups, select a group in the group list and click on Modify.
  • From RMC console, drag and drop client workstation icons to the target group.


 


 

A client workstation can be a member of multiple groups, such as PC-1 can be a member of Development group and QA group.
Rename/Delete custom groups
To rename a custom group, right click the group from RMC console and select Rename/Delete from the popup menu.
System Groups cannot be renamed or deleted.

Import/Export custom groups settings
 
TTo export custom group settings to backup files or import group settings from backup files, click on File->Import Group Settings or Export Group Settings.
